What it is NOT
It is not a self-help book. There are no quotes to frame. There is biology, evidence and a method.
A journey in three volumes
This collection starts from a specific question: what is a body that lives on alert trying to communicate? The map, the compass and the path are not three ways of saying the same thing. They are three stages of one read: understanding what is happening, finding a direction and bringing that understanding into everyday life.
You can start with the first volume without knowing the method or having a scientific vocabulary. The editorial aim is to translate complex concepts into language you can follow. Before asking you to do anything, I want you to understand the question that step answers.
The workbooks accompany the three volumes. They let you separate reading time from personal work time. Making progress isn't the same as reading fast: you can return to an idea, write down a question and come back to the book with more context.
